Today we celebrated student recipients of the following 2023 scholarships:

  • Woodinville Rotary at Woodinville High School: Hope Rogers, Joseph Cappelletti
  • Woodinville Rotary at Secondary Academy of Success: Owen Larson
  • Woodinville Rotary Presidents Memorial Scholarship: Nina Josephson
  • Jaimeson Jones Memorial: Whitney Nakata

It was also great having parents join us for this special celebration. We are so proud of these outstanding scholars and wish them continued success in their future endeavors!

It was wonderful seeing SFN Executive Director and WRC Charter Member John Hughes and SAS Counselor Laurie Broulette at the Grange this morning. They have served the NSD students for many years alongside one another.

Nancy Balin presented her classification talk which included her passion for men’s health in memory of her son Jaimeson. We are thrilled that she found a home with Woodinville Rotary!

There is no morning meeting next week as we will be at our monthly social: 5:30pm at Rooney’s on May 30. Join us!

Good Morning Woodinville Rotary!
It started out as a stag party, but thankfully Pat and Snapette showed up to the meeting this morning to balance things out.
VP Marshall ran the meeting from the podium and kicked it off with a couple well placed jokes. We had a busy service week with the ATI Mock Interviews, Pollinator Pathways planting and SFN Sign Posse deployment.
On the speaking agenda was Nathan Phillips, CEO of the Northshore Senior Center. Nathan talked about the growth of the senior sector and how they are looking at building a Northshore that works for the superage.
Fines, happy dollars and raffle prizes capped the meeting. Nathan walked off with a few extra winnings. It looks like the Senior Center will have a couple treats to start their day!
There is no morning meeting next week (16th) due to the SFN Scholarship Awards Breakfast on May 16. We can’t await to celebrate this year’s scholars!
